Diseinu elebiduna (III)

A guide to bilingual designHizpide dugun A guide to bilingual design gidak galeseraren presentzia areagotzea du funtsean helburu. Diseinu elebidunaren inguruko argibideak azaltzeari eskaintzen dizkio orrialde gehienak, eta diseinatzaile grafikoentzako eskuliburu itxura hartzen du honenbestez.

Hori baino askoz ere gehiago da, ordea, Galeseraren Kontseiluak sustatutako gida, datu eta argudio sendoak ere baliatzen baititu enpresak eta gizarte eragileak, beren komunikazio euskarri eta ekintzetan galesera erabil dezaten, konbentzitzeko.

In the private and voluntary sectors, the choice of a bilingual approach will be made as a policy dicision. Usually it will be based on percieved or proven advantages to the organisation.

Hasteko, komunikazioa ele bitan ez egiteko eman ohi diren arrazoi edo aitzakiei egiten die aurre:
.- Cost is often cited as a reason for not making more use of Welsh. However, through careful planning and by following the advice contained in this guide, additional direct costs ca be kept to a minimum. Also the benefits, both financial and otherwise, of using Welsh should outweigh the additional expenditure.
.- There will almost always be an additional cost if a sign or document is produced bilingually. But there can also be additional benefits.

Eta komunikazio euskarri eta ekintzetan ele biak erabiltzeak enpresentzat ekartzen dituen abantailak aipatzen ditu gero:
.- To emphasise the distinctive Welsh nature of an organisation or its products;
.- to satisfy customer and client demand;
.- to enhance customer service and and care;
.- to extend costumer choice;
.- to gain a PR or marketing edge;
.- to enhance PR and harness goodwill at little extra cost
.

Esango nuke, gure inguruan ere enpresa eta gizarte eragile askok entzun beharko lituzketela argudio horiek gutxienez. Ezta? Nork helaraziko dizkie?
